Water Jousting
Agde, August 1st, 3rd, 15th and 27th.
When festivities rhyme with sport, the result is the organisation of a water jousting tournament. Perched on their small red and blue boats the ‘Tintaine Knights’ take part in singular fights. Protected by a shields, the water jousters try to throw their enemies into the water using their spears. The Duc de Montmorency was the first to organize the game in Agde 1601. A visual tradition not to be missed!

Feria de Béziers - August 13-17
The Annual Féria of Béziers takes place during the sultry time of mid August. The five day event attracts over a million visitors to our city. The theme is ' Spain' and although the bullring is used during this event, the main reason for many people to congregate is the food & wine, as well as dancing to every kind of music you can imagine! Fun for everyone, so whatever the reason, come and join us for this regional main event!
